Directions: Sledding hill at Wolf Trap Farm Park. 1551 Trap Road, Vienna, VA 22182
Comments: I have been sleding here since I was a kid. Today I could not find any sledding in Great Falls so I thought I would go and check out Wolf Trap. It was terrific, The hill is quite wide so it can handle a lot of sledders at once. The runs are long and primarily smooth. My 8 year old loved it, it was a perfect blend of speed and safety. So if you live in the Vienna, Reston, Great Falls or the Mclean area, this is a great place to sled. Directions: 8101 Seymour Rd. Manassas VA 20109. The Sledding hill is next to a community center and swimming pool with lots of parking. Comments: Two hazards: Thick forest on either side of the sledding hill. STAY AWAY FROM THE WOODS. Only sled down the very center of the hill. There is a creek and road way at the bottom of the sledding hill, but I have never seen anyone reach them while sledding. Feb. 2010 Update: Thick woods on both sides of the slope (best described as a bunny hill at a ski resort). Witnessed an injury of a 6 yr. old boy who crashed into a tree and needed to be air-lifted to the hospital. EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED!!! Several moguls as well. Directions: Sledding hill at the VA Western Tennis Court Hills Google Map Here Comments: Steep short hills great for beginners and kids! Park in the VA Western parking lot if you can get up to the top, if not, park on Colonial and walk up. Not the biggest hills, but good for kids who would get scared on a big hill. Local and convenient.
